Last week, I had a fever. Full-blown, royal wedding fever. By this point, most of you know I’m obsessed with all things wedding and when you throw in a prince, colorful hats, an accent and a gorgeous, soon-to-be princess? Major swoon. I was one of those people who watched all the coverage Friday morning (albeit on DVR; this girl values her 3am beauty sleep). It was beautiful and every time I see that special wedding day kind of love, it makes me smile and my heart melt.
Another thing that makes me smile? A new edition of Happy Things. This month’s round is all about a few ladies I adore who are following their passions and pursuing what they love or what they want to do in life. Starting a business or taking that first step towards achieving your dreams is one of the hardest things to do. But nothing is more rewarding than watching those dreams start to become a reality.
// First up, Lulabell Creations by my amazing sister Melissa. If you know a new mom or mom-to-be, these are the perfect gifts. Her specialties are diaper cakes (a few adorable examples below). She’s got a lot of different ones to choose from but also does custom orders if you have your own idea for a cake. She is so creative and I love seeing what she comes up with next.
She recently added a bunch of other items to her Etsy store too. Baby washcloth lollipops, stork bundles, baby cupcakes and washcloth ice cream cones. Cuteness overload! If you haven’t already, you can like her on her Facebook page and follow her on Twitter. ♥
// A Girl’s Tales of Shopping, Saving and Sequins. If you love fashion, then you will love Vanessa and her site. She is always up on the latest trends, news and giveaways. And the girl’s got some major good luck on her side. She’s quite the winning contest queen herself and her good luck at giveaways seems to rub off on her readers. She’s my favorite fashionista with stellar finds, even if you are on a budget. She posts daily on her Facebook page and on Twitter so head over to both to follow along with the fashion fun.
// Do you ever wish you could just pack up and travel around the world for a year? See sights you’ve only dreamed about and experience different cultures? That’s exactly what our friends Adrienne & Jerry decided to do. They left for their year long trip about a month ago with their first stop in Australia. Lucky for us, Adrienne is documenting their journey on their blog, ShenVenture. I’m living vicariously through her stories and photos! And how can you not love travel pictures that include wallabies and koalas?
Happy Monday!
