Photographing engagement sessions in the winter are tricky. Weather is totally unpredictable and sometimes we have to postpone due to rain or if we don’t have many available backup dates (which was the case here because Maddie was due in a matter of weeks), we have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that it will clear up. We did the latter with Sarah + Matt’s engagement session and it was raining nonstop all morning. We had a different location in mind but with the weather being so crazy, we decided to relocate and pray it would clear up.
Thankfully, the rain eventually stopped, the sun made a short appearance and we could finally breathe a sigh of relief. It was still freezing but we were at least dry. Matt and Sarah were total troopers and I loved getting to know them on that chilly winter day. They are such a sweet couple and I adore how their love for each other shines through in these photos.
