I love getting the opportunity to photograph couples who come out to visit California from other parts of the country. I adore meeting people from all over and it also helps me view California with a fresh perspective. I often take for granted how vast and varied our landscape is and it’s one of the reasons why I love living here so much. That’s why seeing it through a visitor’s eyes is sometimes so refreshing.
I had been wanting to do a shoot at Moss Beach for months and months and I thought this session would be the perfect one for this location. Half Moon Bay is notorious for being cloudy on almost every shoot we have had there but on this particular day, the sun was shining and the light could not have been any more lovely. Pair that with a couple like Michelle and Jake and you get one amazing session. I love couples who are affectionate and playful with each other and these two were total naturals in front of the camera. Thank you Michelle and Jake for a wonderful afternoon by the beach.
