There’s something about Hong Kong that has always felt a bit like home. It’s a vastly different city on the other side of the world but there is a warm familiarity amidst the tall skyscrapers and crowded city streets. I’ve only been once before this trip but with a wonderful bunch of extended family to always greet us, it makes the huge city feel cozy and inviting. Since most of our time was spent in Thailand, we only had a few short days to explore and visit before heading home. Our last trip a few years ago was spent doing the more touristy things Hong Kong has to offer so we opted to slow down and do a few new things. Our first day there was spent visiting Cheung Chau, a small island off the coast from Hong Kong. It was a short ferry ride away and I instantly loved this adorable town.
Bikes and walking are the main ways to get around. There are no cars which made this place even more sweet.
I’m a sucker for an awesome skyline and Hong Kong has one of the best.
We were staying outside of town our last night and had a few hours to kill before our flight home. Hong Kong Disneyland
was nice and close so we spent a few hours getting in some Disney fun.
Hong Kong is the only Disneyland with it’s own Toy Story land. It was super cute and colorful.
Happy Monday!
Daniela - Kim, I think I’ve said this before but I absolutely adore your vacation photos. Those elaphants, the water, the boats, your hotel rooms…gah! To die for! Makes me want to plan my next vacation there too. Great photos and blogs. Great memories as well.
